Poker - night nine; unsuited 2 and 7 all the way to the bank
Finally getting round to relaying the facts for last sunday.
Dark, Joel and I travelled south, to the other side of the bridge to go play some
basketball. 2 hours later we were dropped back at central and hopped the train
back to the north side.
Nothing else really happenend... except that i missed alot of easy shots, not may day.
Poker was eventful.
Started with six playas- Joel, dark, dan and I were the regulars. We had two first timers;
Dan's sister and her boyfriend; Kristie and Gus.
Kristie's erratic betting was evident of her bloodline and a few times it payed off.
Gus went out first, his experience at black-jack and games of that ilk did little to help him playing holdem. He was followed closely by Kristie whos inability to hold a stack longer than the next hand got the better of her.
My pile slowly diminished as Dark, Dan and Joel exchanged chips. The chip leader changed quicker than a gold-digger did husbands.
In the end i lost a nice pot to aces over my kings and, the next hand, went all in paying the annoyingly high blind.
I was dealer for the rest of the night.
So I left the last three at it since it was pushing 11 and i was tired and had a headache.
Dark sent me an email monday explaing the last few hands;
Dark says;
Yep...as much as I was barracking for Dan, he exposed his jugular to me
and I couldn't help but pounce. Joel didn't hold on much longer after
Dan went down but gave it a good solid effort.
The final hand follows thusly;
I got dealt an unsuited 2 and 7- the worst hand possible. Joel got dealt a pair of kings- the second best hand possible.
and then the first two cards on the flop were another 2 and then another 7. He was so crushed by that hand…I can see why he hates the 2/7 so much. That was also my 2nd 2/7 win of the nite.
so the finaly result;
1- Dark
2- Joel
3- Dan
4- Steve (thats me folks)
5- Kristie
6- Gus
next sunday promises to be interesting; currently we've got 8 playing so its bound to be huge.
