things that are musical

wasn't well a few weekends ago; the bottom had fallen out of my world since the world had fallen out of my bottom... not a pretty picture. I had some time off work and it would've been a whole lot more fun if i wasn't feverish and hallucinating.

Last week was considerably uneventful except that basketball was cancelled. (By my count we're none for six) So we went and saw Stevie Starr at the Epping hotel, (unofficial site) which was quite illuminating.

The weekend just past was great. Since i'm about to hit 24 (and my sister 22 due to a freak occurance... that or my parents only did it twice; same time of year, two years apart) we had a family breakfast down in DeeWhy at the Ark Lounge. Then off to meet some or my wife's friends (which are also now my good friends) at the Lyric theatre at Star City for Mel Brooks' The Producers. Gay fun for the whole family... ahem.

We went back stage with Katie (asst Stage manager), briefly met some of the cast (Hiya Bert) and off to a small cafe, where Reg (lead) weirded me out. Then off to Oscars for dinner. Very good cheap food, fantastic interior (I'm sure normal pigs don't come with that many ribs though.)

Sunday was a lazy lunch with the in-laws, a lot of fun and more great food. I came away with a nice bottle of wine some dark chocolate and a voucher for dymocks. The rest of the afternoon was spent reading Harry Potter... Dani (my better half) had her brother's copy and I had Dan's. Stayed up till 2 this morning until i finished it. Start to finish it took me... around 9 hours.

more to come
