Poker - night three: the sunday after

i apologise for the late post

Sunday arvo saw six sitting around a table trying to make heads a tales of the large pile of chips in front of Poker-in-the-rear... again. But i'm getting ahead of myself.

Firstly, i cooked to much food again- So we were stuffed.
Secondly, It was the triumphant return of the Raging Swan
Thirdly, our aim was to make sure Poker-in-the-rear didn't win

All was travelling smoothly, Dark was rotating four decks of cards and our conversation was punctuated with the lawnmower engine of the automatic shuffler.
Early on i folded on two small suited cards before the flop. It turned into a straight after the river and i would've had a sure winner... that was my best hand all night and it was all down hill from there; i dropped a good four hundred on the table calling Dumbluck DJ's bluff... which wasn't a bluff and suddenly i had no black chips left. A dozen or so hands later any my meagre pile of chips had become even more humble. I successfully bluffed a win by betting high early, and tried it again going all in on the next hand. My attempt died in the arse and i was out for the night... 6th... fan-friggin-tastic. [Atleast i was now able to take notes for the night]
The queen of tarts, after her impressive second place on debut last week, didn't do quite so well and followed me quickly.

A few noted hands from here on;
> two kings and two aces after the river so we're all expecting a fullhouse... after the cards were revealed Dark won with a nine; no full house, nothing higher than a nine. go figure.
> After the river the five table cards were a jumble and, Dumbluck DJ won with a pair of 2s extracting 600 from joel. I guess someone was hoping for a straight or flush.
> The next hand sees Dumbluck bluff Poker-in-the-rear for another 400- Poker folded after the turn when Dumbluck started raising 200 at a time.
As mentioned before five of us were attempting to stop joel from making a hatrick of wins and at one point joel [poker-in-the-rear] was coming third to janine [the swan] and dan [dumbluck dj].
> Joel goes all in with a chip value of 630 and wins with three queens, leaving Dark with little more than a few hundred. Not much considering the other three had around 1200 each.
> More than once dan opened with a hundred dollar chip resulting in folds all round. Infact it became a regular friggin occurance.
> As promising as the Raging Swan was her fall from glory happend thusly; both janine and dan went all in, dan won with two pair, jacks and aces leaving her with 4th place.
> Darks last hand; He goes all in paying the blind. Joel folds, dan calls and the river reveals the final 2 of a three-of-a-kind. dark shows jack high, dan shows a queen. dark leaves muttering something about kitten steaks calming the nerves.
> The next, and last hand; joel bets enough to get daniel all in and wins with sixes over fives full house, beating daniels straight.

Awards time:
Dan's aggresiveness earned him the "most aggressive" and "most likely to play on an unsuited 2" award. Dark gets the "little poster kitten" award for hanging in there with nothing more than $5 chips. Joel recieves the "claw back from the edge of oblivion" and the "winner" trophy. And he also gets the "hatrick weiner" award
